Salad turnips are much more tender than the purple-top turnips you may be more familiar with. No need to peel them–they have a creamy texture,with a nice sweet flavor (not spicy). Slice them up and add to a salad or dip in hummus, or try roasting them with a little oil and garlic. Greens are edible as well–they have a slightly peppery flavor (not nearly as strong as arugula or mustard greens) and we recommend eating them raw (add to a salad!), steamed, or stir-fried.
